Help us buy our precious land in the areas of the Bundjalung Nation to preserve for future generations.

Community Land Acquisition Initiative is an alliance of First Nations individuals and groups, community members, NGOs and private interests who are working together to acquire areas of high cultural and ecological significance in Northern Rivers region of NSW and South-East Queensland.

We are seeking donors to help us buy threatened areas of high cultural and ecological value in our region. Australia's natural heritage is being swallowed up, piece by piece. Government after government stands by while Indigenous cultural sites are destroyed, irreplaceable habitats are bulldozed, wildlife is driven to extinction, rivers sucked dry and native forests felled.

We don't believe it has to be this way. Our dream is to save our precious wild lands and Indigenous culture and we're asking for your help.

Help Buy Wallum

Community Land Acquisition Initiative's first initiative is to acquire and manage the parcel of Wallum Heathland (Lot 13 DP1251383 Brunswick Heads NSW 2483) with a view to preserving the ecological values in perpetuity for the greater community.

The Management Plan, devised and informed by suitably qualified ecological and cultural advisory groups, incorporating First Nations knowledge, emphasises regeneration of the existing flora and fauna species, with a focus on protecting endangered species on the land.

Key goals include ecological preservation and regeneration of the Wallum Heathland, cultural heritage recognition, and educational opportunities ensuring the site becomes a model for environmental stewardship.
